A Heritage of Quality
Rimini was established over 10 years ago with our gelato cafes in both Vail and Beaver Creek, Colorado locations.
Born out of love for the delicious gelati experienced in Rimini, Italy; Michael Schneider opened his gelato shops and named them in honor of the town, bringing this rich, decadent treat to those who appreciate the finer things in life.
Those shops grew and incorporated fine wines, specialty coffees, a variety of breakfast and lunch sandwiches, and fine, artisan chocolates.
Until now, our handcrafted, artisan chocolates were only available in our Colorado shops, but we are pleased to be able to offer them via our online shop whenever you’re in the mood for a little personal indulgence or to share as gifts.
Meet Michael
Living the sweet life, Michael Schneider has worked with many of the top-rated chocolatiers and pastry chefs in the world and has seen and tasted some of the finest confections on the planet.
Michael has been a major contributor to the chocolate industry for over 30 years, creating “Chocolatier Magazine” in 1984, followed by two other magazines and a book series. He has lectured extensively on the subject of chocolate, and developed and produced the “National Pastry Team Championships” and the “World Pastry Team Championships.” He has worked with the Food Network, which has broadcast many of the pastry championships, welcomed him as a judge on various programs, and hired Michael’s company to create pastry and chocolate related network events.
In 2008, Michael opened Rimini shops in Beaver Creek and Vail, Colorado, specializing in gelato and chocolate confections.
After nearly 10 years of customers asking if these handmade all-natural artisan chocolates can be purchased elsewhere, Michael is pleased to be able to offer them online for all to enjoy.
